Week 79,80,81: Turku

Big Changes!

I moved to a new city from Helsinki. I now live in Turku. It’s a big town on the south west corner of Finland.

Spiritual Thought:

I recently finished this masterclass about the Book of Mormon. This whole episode is great but I really enjoyed starting at minute 20

Short Version of Email: I moved to Turku. The last weeks in Helsinki were filled with more lessons that I could count, lots of visiting members and overall some of the happiest times of my mission.

Finnish Word of the Week:   “Etevassa” means to move very slow but literally translates to “forward like ”

5 Amazing Things This Week:

1: It's been so lovely teaching so many great people. The people I've met in Helsinki will be friends for life and I'll cherish them a lot. It was sad to go but I'm excited to be in a new area with lots of cool things coming.

2: We went to the temple which was great. It was so nice to be able to understand all of the ordinances in Finnish. I haven't been to the temple to hear everything in Finnish since I got to Finland so it was great to see progress in my language skills.

3:  The members spoiled us last week! We didn't even need to go grocery shopping.

4:  So many of our friends came to church that was awesome!

5:  Had to say bye to some of my best friends, which was so hard, but I know I'll see them soon.

Tender Mercy of the Week:

On my last day in Helsinki so many of our friends got back into contact with us. We were able to schedule and meet with so many of them. It was wonderful. So many people we hadn't been able to meet with in a long time were available.

Where I am/Who I'm With: I am serving in Turku. My companion is Elder Crosley.

Miss you lots; send me an email if you so desire!
